Mission Statement

OUR CLUB

Mainly Jetski riders on long island. North Shore or South Shore but now we have members from all over the world. Australia, Russia, New Zealand, etc.. it doesn’t matter where from we are all a salt life family.

MEMBER RULES

– Anyone who wants to join the group will be ask if he has a ski and what kind of ski. – Brand jokes are fine but should not become personally offensive. – The group it’s Jetski salt life related only. – If the admins see any inappropriate comments or posted it will be deleted.

EVENTS

We encourage members to pose questions regarding skis, rides and riding gear. Members can assist in the organizing and planning of rides and trips.

Jacobsen made his first prototype out of aluminum in 1965. He tried again a year later, this time opting for fiberglass. His big breakthrough, though, was switching from the old outboard motors to an internal pump-jet.

“Jet Ski” has now become a more generic term describing all personal watercraft.

 Clayton Jacobsen II sold his idea to the snowmobile manufacturer Bombardier, but they failed to catch on and Bombardier gave up on them. So he went to Kawaski in 1973.
